Visions of the Cross Recovery Housing

The VOTC Recovery Campus Expansion project will expand the non-profit’s residential treatment capacity by 60 beds through the construction of this state-licensed and DHCS-certified two-story building. The building will be divided to separately house men and women—30 residents each, for a total of 60 residential treatment beds.

The primary purpose of this program is to prepare residents for a successful transition into  transitional housing, supportive or independent living. The program will comprehensively address residents' needs, including substance use disorders, mental health challenges, life-controlling issues, prenatal care, and functional impairments. This holistic approach is designed to promote long-term stability and successful reintegration into the community.

Residents may stay temporarily in this level of care for 30, 60, or 90 days depending on their individual treatment plans. During their stay, residents are required to participate in both individual and group therapy sessions, with additional access to specialized counseling as needed. Each resident will receive a personalized treatment plan and will be referred upon completion to either our transitional housing program, or to a qualified community-based provider.

Core services provided include:

  • Mental health care

  • Case management

  • Substance use counseling

The project design features 3D printed concrete construction the first floor and traditional framing on the second floor. Using 3D concrete printing technology allowed for additional design freedom and curvature in spaces that make for a unique and exceptional user experience.
